Bad Water: Animation meets Public Health Awareness
by Tabproduction Studios | 2D Animation
In 2024–2025, Tabproduction Studios proudly collaborated with the Zambian National Public Health Institute and the Ministry of Health to produce Bad Water—an eight‑episode animated series designed to educate and inspire.
At the center of the story is Gift Tembo, a relatable character whose journey reflects the everyday realities of his community. Through Gift’s experiences, audiences learn practical cholera prevention measures and safety tips, presented in ways that feel familiar, accessible, and impactful. By grounding the narrative in a community setting, Bad Water ensures that health messages resonate deeply with viewers across diverse backgrounds.
The series blends education with entertainment. Informative scenarios are paired with humor, warmth, and a catchy theme song that draws audiences in and keeps them engaged. Each episode transforms vital public health information into memorable storytelling, making it easier for communities to adopt safe practices and protect themselves against cholera.

Most importantly, Bad Water is reaching audiences nationwide. The episodes are being broadcast on ZNBC, ensuring that this creative, educational series is accessible to households across Zambia.
